Kathy Adelmann

kathyKathy offers more than fifteen years of high-level human resource insight and guidance, from HR strategy and implementation to executive coaching. These services touch critical human resource issues, supporting the organizational imperatives of leaders and the capability of employees to perform more effectively.

Kathy has consulted on a variety of performance development and change management areas for leaders and their teams. Her work encompasses leadership assessment and development, performance management design and training, talent management, and implementation of leadership programs for highly respected, enterprise-scale companies. In particular, Kathy regularly provides 360-degree feedback and coaching for senior and high-potential leaders, creates transition plans for leaders who are new to their roles, and helps managers and employees create actionable development plans. Kathy also works with organizations to identify critical skill sets and create competency models. Further, she designs and facilitates leadership and team-building programs. Since 2004, she has worked with several leading companies across multiple industry sectors, including Apple, Bemis, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, DSW, Deloitte, FTI, McGladrey, Pepsi Americas and Warnaco.

Before her work as a consultant, Kathy was employed as a Human Resources Director for Kraft Foods. In this senior generalist role at corporate headquarters, she established a strong human resource presence with the function she supported, creating effective HR strategies, support and controls. Prior to her role at Kraft, Kathy held human resource positions with Philip Morris U.S.A. in corporate headquarters, sales and manufacturing. As Human Resources Director for the company’s largest manufacturing facility, she led the function and supported 2,400 salaried and union employees. An integral member of the plant leadership, she created organizational capability to support an extensive change effort focused on re-engaging the workforce and establishing a high-performance work system. Kathy began her career at General Mills corporate headquarters, where she advanced through successive financial analyst and control positions over four years.

Kathy holds an M.A. Industrial Relations from University of Minnesota and a B.S. Accountancy from the University of Illinois. Certifications include: LOMINGER Voices, PDI Profilor, MBTI- Myers Briggs Type Indicator and DDI Interaction Management.
